About 50 students in Kristina Hansen’s fourth grade and Heather Marchini’s second grade classes donned gaudy socks and big noses to hold two clown shows for classmates and parents in the school multipurpose room.
The young clowns spent about six weeks perfecting their routines, learning the finer points of clowndom from Ravioli the Clown who attended every practice with the students.
Miss Sparkles Delight previously gave a clown makeup class for the teachers and parents who designed the young clowns face makeup.
The two clowns are married.
Thursday’s two performances featured 10 musical numbers and skits including a clown mind reader, clown baseball and a clown dentist.
Hansen said the clown show has become a tradition in the Jefferson school district passed down by two teachers in the 16 years it’s been running.
The skits were picked by the teachers in December. Hansen said and the routines are rotated each year to keep the show fresh with one or two new ones added to the list each year.

I met her in the mall awhile back (in more casual attire than usual), and she is a neat lady. She talked to my kids, and myself for awhile, and you can just tell she is one of those people that genuinely loves kids, and also loves what she does.
Not that I have been in Tracy for that overly long, but if I had to chose a mascot for Tracy, it would certainly be her. I don't think there are many people in town who don't know who is she is. She beings something special to every
event that she does, a smile to many, many faces, and I think she will be sorely missed, and long remembered if she ever hangs up those big floppy shoes.
