Ten-year reunion time

The Tracy High School Class of 1996 has a three-day celebration planned for its 10-year reunion next month. First is the homecoming parade, at 2:30 p.m. Oct. 20. Then there’s a Chevy’s Ice Breaker at 5:30 p.m., followed by the Tracy vs. Bear Creek football game at 7:30 p.m. and a post-game party at the Banta Inn.

The reunion dinner will be from 6 p.m. to midnight Oct. 21 at the Tracy Elks Lodge, and another get-together will begin at 11:30 a.m. Oct. 22 at Robert Kellogg Park.

Graduates of both Tracy and West highs are invited to take part in the reunion.

Cub Scout meeting

Tracy Cub Scout Pack 525 will have its kickoff pack meeting at 7 p.m. Thursday in the multipurpose room at Monticello School, 1001 Cambridge Place.

The pack will enroll new Cub Scouts from first through fourth grades.

Food at Larch Clover

Food will be given away at 8 a.m. Thursday at the Larch Clover Community Center, 11157 W. Larch Road, to people who show that their income qualifies them for the food. Proof of address is also required.

New Jerusalem Harvest Festival

The New Jerusalem Elementary School, 31400 Koster Road, will have its annual harvest festival from 1 to 7 p.m. Saturday at the school.

Music, carnival games, auctions, a tri-tip dinner, an old-fashion country store and a petting zoo will feed and please. Tickets for the dinner are $15.

Kids in a Box coming

The Kiwanis Club and the Key Clubs of Tracy, West and Duncan-Russell high schools will help organize the seventh annual Kids in a Box fundraiser Friday and Saturday to benefit McHenry House Family Shelter.

Children, with adult supervision, will sleep overnight in cardboard boxes at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church.

Twins club meets

The San Joaquin Mothers of Twins Club will have its biggest fundraiser of the year soon.

More than 15 families will sell clothing, toys, household goods and more at its annual sale from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Sept. 30 at Grace Brethren Church, 1480 Parker Ave.

Church fundraising gala

The People of Christ First Missionary Baptist Church will have a black-and-white gala to raise money for a new church it plans to build on Larch Road in Tracy.

The gala will be from 6 p.m. to midnight Sept. 30, and it will include dinner, dancing and an elegant evening under the stars, with gift baskets and raffle prizes.

Tickets are $50.

Indian show in Stockton

The Indian Association of San Joaquin will put on a Diwali Show at 7 p.m. Oct. 28 at the Scottish Rite Temple, in Stockton. Two youth groups from Tracy will participate in the show, which features classical and contemporary Indian dances and songs.

Cost is $10 in advance, $15 at the door and $5 for children 12 and under.
