Mr. Harjo, born in Seminole, Okla., on Aug. 13, 1935, had lived in Gustine a year and a half. He lived in Tracy from 1986 to 2007 and worked 22 years as a clerk at True Value Hardware. He was also an accountant and a member of First Baptist Church of Newman.
Survivors include his wife, Patricia Harjo of Gustine; three sons, John M. Harjo of Whittier, David T. Harjo of Orange and Christopher Harjo of La Mirada; a daughter, Melinda Santoyo of Monterey Park; three brothers, Curt Harjo of Cool, Robert Harjo of Santa Rosa and Tillman Harjo Jr. of Valley Springs; and five grandchildren.
A memorial service will begin at 2 p.m. March 2 at First Baptist Church of Newman, 910 R St., in Newman. Arrangements were handled by Hillview Funeral Chapel, 515 First Ave., in Gustine.
