Services will be Feb. 22 for Craig William Moon Sr., known as “Butch,” who died Saturday, Feb. 9, in Modesto following a short illness. He was 68.

Born March 18, 1944, in Stockton, Mr. Moon was a member of the Tracy High School Class of 1962.

He owned and operated Moon Trucking for more than 20 years and had lived in Patterson for more than four decades.

Survivors include his wife, Susan “Suzy” Moon; three sons, Ricky Moon, Jay Moon and Craig Moon Jr., and his wife, Elizabeth, all of Patterson; four siblings, Larry Moon, and his wife, Melinda, of Tracy, Lee Mahan of Stockton, Darlene Britanico, and her husband, Joe, of Salinas and Grace Tejada, and her husband, Tony, of Lemoore; two grandsons; five granddaughters; eight nieces; and a nephew.

Preceding him in death were his mother, Shirley Mahan, and stepfather, Nelson Mahan.

A celebration of Mr. Moon’s life will begin at 2 p.m. Feb. 22 at Hillview Funeral Chapel, 450 W. Las Palmas Ave., in Patterson.
