Roseann Lynn Pombo and Michael Manuel Silva will marry Sept. 13, 2008, at Borges Ranch in Farmington. Michael surprised Roseann with a proposal on Christmas Eve. The two announced their engagement at a family gathering Christmas day.

Roseann, 26, is the daughter of Robert and Cynthia Pombo of Tracy. Her grandparents are Mabel Pombo and Theresa Hughes, both of Tracy, the late Alfred Pombo and the late Henry Hughes.

Her great-grandparents are Lloyd Keiser of Tracy and the late Helen Keiser. Her siblings are Natalie McCarty of Tracy and Bobby Pombo of Utah.

Roseann graduated from Tracy High School in 1999 and earned a degree in dairy science at California State Polytechnic University, San Luis Obispo. She works as a farm loan technician for the U.S. Department of Agriculture and the Farm Service Agency.

Michael, 20, is the son of Manuel Silva and Mary Machado of Tracy. His grandparents are Maria Odette Silva of Tracy and the late Frank J. Silva, and the late Maria C. Faria and Alvaro Faria, both formerly of Escalon. His siblings are Kevin Silva and Jessica Silva, both of Tracy.

Michael graduated from Tracy High in 2005. He works at his family’s business, Silva Bros. Dairy.
