The alleged shoplifter — described as white and wearing a hooded sweatshirt and jeans — allegedly stole the computer from the retailer at 3010 W. Grant Line Road at 1:07 p.m. Monday, Feb. 12.
She was allegedly seen getting into a black Toyota Highlander with a white man, who had long hair and was wearing a hat.
The pair was last seen driving east on Grant Line Road. The first number on the license plate was 6, the log notes. The laptop was recovered and a police report is expected.
Tracy police received 164 calls Monday, Feb. 12. The following is a sample of those reports.
12:08 p.m.: Officers arrested a minor during a pedestrian stop in the area of Eighth Street and Central Avenue for an outstanding warrant on charges that included assault with a deadly weapon. The minor was taken to San Joaquin County Juvenile Hall in French Camp.
9:19 p.m.: Two people were arrested for outstanding warrants when officers served the paperwork in the area of 10th Street and Tracy Boulevard. A 58-year-old man was wanted in Santa Barbara County, while a 42-year-old woman was wanted on several warrants from various locations. She was also given a new charge for a drug-related offense.
