Services will be Feb. 15 for Robert Jack “Bob” Eggers, 76, a retired mechanic and Navy veteran, who died Friday, Feb. 1, at his Tracy home.

Mr. Eggers was born May 14, 1936, in Oakland and served four years in the U.S. Navy as an aircraft engine mechanic. He worked 25 years as an auto mechanic for Shamrock Ford of Dublin, retiring in 1999.

Following his retirement, he moved from Dublin to Tracy, where he participated in activities at Lolly Hansen Senior Center and bingo nights at the Tracy Moose Lodge.

Survivors include two children, Robert E. Eggers, and his wife, Annamarie, of Burson and Rebecca Briggs, and her husband, William, of Tracy; a brother, Richard Eggers, and his wife, Nancy, of Dublin; former wife, Elizabeth Short; and three grandchildren.

A funeral service will begin at 1 p.m. Feb. 15 in the chapel of Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave. Burial will be private.
