Two Kimball High School students were escorted to the main office at 11:09 a.m. Thursday, Jan. 17, for allegedly smelling like marijuana.

No drugs were found during a search of the students at the school, 3200 Jaguar Run campus, but one of the students had several articles of red clothing and a drawing that read “Tracy 209” with four dots on it, which were identified by police as gang-related materials.

The students’ parents were notified, and the students were disciplined by school administrators.

Tracy police received 170 calls for service Thursday, Jan. 17. The following is a sample of those reports.

10:13 a.m.: A 42-inch plasma TV and several movies were allegedly stolen from Walmart, 3010 W. Grant Line Road, by a woman in her 20s who appeared to leave the parking lot in a black Honda Accord. Police couldn’t find the car.

2:39 p.m.: A man was arrested on an outstanding warrant for drug charges from San Mateo County during a traffic stop on Fieldview Drive. A county resident reportedly started to follow the man when he drove across the resident's front yard, which is about five miles north of town. He followed the car to the Safeway parking lot on 11th Street and Corral Hollow Road, and then followed the vehicle to Fieldview Drive, where an arrest was made.

5:26 p.m.: Police arrested a man who was found sleeping on a bench on the 3200 block of Tracy Boulevard. The man was allegedly intoxicated.

6:46 p.m.: A 53-year-old man was arrested at Walmart, 3010 W. Grant Line Road, when he tried to return a pair of speakers that a store employee determined were stolen. The man had at least four outstanding warrants from various San Joaquin County agencies.

I haven't heard of Mountain House schools being involved in gang activity, yet anyway. And I agree with Chris. TUSD sucks.

It's here...you don't hear much about it since the paper usually only covers Tracy, but trust me, it's here.

Yes Chris... because those two students couldn't have actually been FROM Mountain House!

Please think before you write something.

The Mountain House kids are no better than anyone else. Every school in California has some gang members here and there. KHS has a lot less than others... especially in the Central Valley.

I work with kids both from Mountain House and from Tracy and can tell you, there are criminal elements as well as really good people in both communities.

All of your comments are negative and do nothing but tear others down. Do you actually know anything about this community? What do you ACTUALLY do to help this community? I've seen you make nothing but very ignorant comments about other people.

So what are you saying, that Tracy schools are ghetto?

No wonder parents in Mountain House want to form their own high school.

Even Kimball High is GHETTO.
