Tracy police received 148 calls for service Tuesday, Jan. 15. The following is a sample of those reports.
8:02 a.m.: A snowboard, snowboarding boots, jacket, pants and goggles were reported stolen from a vehicle on the 2500 block of Peppercorn Lane. It appeared that the vehicle was left unlocked overnight.
11:01 a.m.: Two people were reportedly injured in a car crash at the intersection of Bessie and Eaton avenues. They were minor injuries to the drivers, according to the dispatch log, but both cars had to be towed away.
12:06 p.m.: Someone found an older man with a walker lying down in a parking lot on the 600 block of West 11th Street. The man had apparently injured his leg in a fall. Police cited him on warrants for previous arrests for trespassing and public drunkenness, and sent him by ambulance to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.
4:16 p.m.: A boy told a teacher at a local school that his mother hits him with a belt, and sometimes he’s afraid to go home because of it. The teacher arranged a meeting with a counselor and the boy’s mother to talk about abuse versus discipline.
11:37 p.m.: A person on the 2600 block of Gaines Court told police that some teens and young adults with flashlights were outside looking into cars. Police arrived, questioned some people at the scene, and found some marijuana. No arrests were reported, but police took the marijuana for destruction.
