The rankings were based on overall success in keeping patients safe from infections, injuries and medical and medication errors.
Sutter Tracy ranked “A” in the spring and fall of 2012.
According to the website www.hospitalsafetyscore.org, Sutter Tracy was joined by Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Manteca, Kaiser Foundation Hospital in Modesto and Memorial Medical Center in Modesto with “A” rankings.
St. Joseph’s Medical Center of Stockton was awarded a “B” ranking, followed by Doctors Hospital of Manteca and San Joaquin General Hospital in French Camp with “C” rankings.
Of the 2,618 general hospitals issued a Hospital Safety Score across the U.S., 790 earned “A,” 678 earned “B” and 1004 earned “C” ranking.
