A black Dachshund reportedly ran into a home on the 1800 block of Scotchpine Court when a resident opened the front door at 12:34 a.m. Tuesday, Jan. 1.

The dog allegedly tried to bite the resident’s leg when he opened the door, and then ran into a bedroom where it also bit at a broom the resident was using to try and get the dog out of the house.

Animal control officers arrived, noosed the dog and took it the animal shelter office.
