A break in the wet weather storms will give a sunny start to 2013 on Tuesday.

AccuWeather forecasts sun with scattered clouds to greet, with high temperatures expected to hover near 51 degrees.

Around town New Years Eve on Monday, residents were getting in the last few hours of fun in 2012.

Skaters took advantage of the clear skies to try some tricks at the skateboard section of Bill Schwartz Park, while nearby a group played an afternoon match of flag footbal.

The extended forecast from AccuWeather calls for mostly sunny skies through the weekend, with the next chance of rain coming Wednesday, Jan. 9.
