• Vern Birmingham, 69, of Manteca, a former Tracy Defense Depot employee, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, in a Manteca hospital. Services are pending. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., will handle arrangements.

• Nordean “Dean” Fraser, 65, of Tracy, died at home Tuesday, Dec. 18. A memorial service will begin at 11 a.m. Jan. 4 at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., followed by inurnment in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road.

• Geneva Louise Kennedy, 85, an H.J. Heinz Co. retiree, died Tuesday, Dec. 18, in Modesto. A memorial will begin at 11 a.m. Dec. 29 at P.L. Fry & Son Funeral Home, 290 N. Union Road, in Manteca. Burial in St. John’s Catholic Cemetery in Escalon will be set at a later date.

• Lifelong Tracy resident Lucy “Diana” Villalovoz, 68, died Sunday, Dec. 16, at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. A Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 27, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave., and burial will follow. Visitation will be observed beginning at 2 p.m. Wednesday, Dec. 26, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., followed by a rosary at 7 p.m. Contributions in Ms. Villalovoz’s name may be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.
