A celebration of life is planned Thursday, Dec. 6, for former Tracy resident Pete Corsaro, 79, of Waterford, who died Nov. 22 in Modesto following a lengthy illness.

Mr. Corsaro was born Sept. 29, 1933, in West Virginia and lived 20 years in Tracy before moving to Waterford 27 years ago. He was a Korean War veteran and a business owner.

Survivors include his wife, Carolyn Corsaro of Waterford; eight children, Mike “Butch” Corsaro, Eddie Corsaro, David Corsaro and Steve Corsaro, all of Tracy, and Greg Corsaro, Pete Corsaro Jr., April Corsaro and Joey Tankersley, all of Waterford; 22 grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; and 25 nieces and nephews.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Michael Angelo Corsaro and Teresa (Stella) Corsaro; and siblings, Vince Corsaro, Tony Corsaro, Larry Corsaro, Joe Corsaro, Teresa Young, Mary Corsaro, Mike Corsaro, Josephine Anastasio and Chet Strauss.

Thursday’s celebration will begin at 6 p.m. at New Heart Community Church, 1647 Bessie Ave., followed by a potluck reception.

Eaton Family Funeral Home, 513 12th St., in Modesto, is handling arrangements.
