• Eva Maciel Alves, 95, of Willows, a former Tracy resident, died Sunday, Nov. 18, in Chico. She attended Banta Grammar School as a child and lived in Tracy from 1973 to 1992. Services will begin at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at St. Monica’s Catholic Church, 1129 W. Wood St., in Willows. Visitation will be observed from 5 to 7 p.m. Monday, Nov. 26, at F.D. Sweet & Son Mortuary, 114 N. Shasta St., in Willows.

• Tracy native Phyllis Frates, 70, died Friday, Nov. 16, at a care home in Lodi. A celebration of her life will begin at 11 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at Bear Creek Community Church, 11171 N. Lower Sacramento Road, in Lodi. Burial will be in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., is handling arrangements.

• Bernice French, 89, of Tracy, died Nov. 15 at Astoria Gardens. Services are pending. Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave., is handling arrangements.

Lucilla Marie “Lou” Nuce, 65, of Tracy, died Saturday, Nov. 17, at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital. Services are pending. Arrangements will be handled by Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave.

• Former Tracy resident Belia Rodriguez Ocegueda, 78, of Modesto, died Sunday, Nov. 19, at Alexander Cohen Hospice House in Hughson. A service will begin at 10:30 a.m. Wednesday, Nov. 28, at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave., followed by burial in Tracy Cemetery, 501 E. Schulte Road. Visitation will be observed from 3 to 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 27, at Fry Memorial Chapel, 550 S. Central Ave., and a rosary will be recited at 7 p.m. Condolences may be shared in an online guest book at Contributions in Mrs. Ocegueda’s name may be sent to Alexander Cohen Hospice House, 2201 Euclid Ave., Hughson, CA 95326.

Dorothy “Dottie” Yrigoyen, 88, a retired Tracy High School teacher and former longtime Banta resident, died Nov. 16 in Manteca. A Mass of Christian burial will be celebrated Nov. 29 at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church, 163 W. Eaton Ave. Burial will be private. Park View Cemetery & Funeral Home, 3661 French Camp Road, is handling arrangements. In lieu of flowers, contributions in Mrs. Yrigoyen’s name may be sent to a charity of the donor’s choice.
