The production of the Charles Dickens classic is being performed by the students in the school’s magnet arts program, starring Kody Forbes as Ebenezer Scrooge, the rich mister who is visited on Christmas Eve by three ghosts who show Scrooge his past, present and future in an effort to change him into a charitable and compassionate man.
What’s unique about this production, according to spokesman and Tracy High senior Paul Mayes, is that the actors will perform all the sound effects themselves, including rattling chains and the ticking of a clock.
The theater, at 315 11th St., features shows at 7 p.m. Nov. 30 and Dec. 7, and at 2 p.m. and 7 p.m. Dec. 1 and 8. Tickets are $5 for students and $10 for adults.
