Kimball, Tracy and West high schools also competed at the Sac-Joaquin Section Subsection meet on the Frogtown course at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds in Angels Camp.
Kimball junior Francesca Loayza was the only other varsity runner to qualify for the section meet, which will be Saturday, Nov. 10, at the Willow Hills course at Folsom High.
The top 10 varsity teams in each of the five divisions in both the girls and boys events qualified to move on.
Millennium High’s varsity girls placed third out of seven teams, behind Vacaville Christian and Central Catholic, with an average time of 25:43 on the 5K course.
Falcon junior Anneliese Bradley led the way for her team, placing fourth overall out of 52 girls with a time of 22:49.
Millennium High’s varsity boys placed fourth out of 11 teams in the Division 5 event with an average time of 20:54 on the 5K course.
Lead runner for the Falcons was sophomore Donoban Salinas (20:23), who placed 21st overall out of 85 runners.
Kimball, Tracy and West did not qualify any teams. Kimball’s Loayza was the only varsity runner from the three schools to finish among the top 10 at-large individuals and move on to the section championships.
Loayza ran the 5K varsity course in 20:23 for a 20th place finish out of 142 runners in the Division 2 race. Her teammate, senior Anna Carrasco (21:28), came in 13 seconds shy of qualifying for the section meet. They led the Kimball team to a 13th-place finish out of 19 teams in the event. Tracy finished 16th in the Division 2 varsity girls event.
The West varsity boys team finished in 14th place out of 19 Division 1 teams. West senior Nick Vik came close to qualifying for the section meet in the Division 1 varsity boys event. Vik placed 66th out of 125 runners with a time of 19:18 on the 5K course, which was three seconds behind the at-large qualifying time. Kimball’s varsity boys placed 17th out of 24 teams in the Division 2 competition and Tracy was right behind in 18th place.
Tracy High freshman Emily Simons and Evan Savage each qualified for their respective sophomore competitions.
West freshman Connor Waters qualified for the freshman boys race.
