Voters continue to inundate polling sites in Tracy Tuesday, Nov. 6, with just over an hour remaining for ballots to be cast.

Polls opened at 7 a.m. and will continue to accept voters until 8 p.m.

According to John Treantos, precinct inspector at the American Legion, 1960 Tracy Blvd., nearly 300 of roughly 1,000 registered voters had voted in person by 5:15 p.m.

He has been working at the precinct since 2000 and noted that about 40 percent of the voters registered there were absentee voters.

“I’ve never seen it this busy in 12 years,” he said. “It’s been steady — we haven’t gone more than 10 minutes without someone voting.”

At the Tracy Unified School District Education Center, about 12 people had lined up out the door waiting to fill out their ballots.

The Tracy Press will post hourly updates tonight beginning at 8:30 p.m., when the first poll numbers should be available.

Hey Joel at TP, You may want to pay attention because the control you'd like to display and the rules you want us to play by are going out the door pretty quickly.

Maybe I'm wrong but I'd swear retard is a term which is frowned upon these days and considered offensive by a lot of people. In case you missed it we have one commenter throwing it around in a childish manner and another using it as part of a screen name.

Is this the new standard the rest of us can expect? I sure hope not. Maybe it's time to try my IQ test before someone can post a comment idea.

By the way, to all those with common sense, reason, and who pay attention, does anyone think I would come up with some ridiculous and offensive name just to shadow one commenter who's not worth the time of day? C'mon.

Another year of Ives and $erpa and $ouza developments knocking at the door.

We spent a million dollars on a new city hall but can't afford a skatepar/bmx complex that cost the city of Livermore 250,000.

JUST SAYIN'

ChrisRoberts,

your error rate continues skyhigh and unabated. Developers built City Hall. Please find at least a modicum of factual information.

Walk into the building you're speaking of... ask for the information and where the construction money came from.

(modicum means minimal, a small portion, a limited quantity)

While you're there, the Police Dept is across the street. Stop in, say howdy and tell them about your unpermitted concealed weapon you carry and how much you dislike the Police. Should be able to resolve any differences you have... quickly.

Have a great day.

Do you epitomize the voters of your party... or do they generally hold themselves to a standard higher than you're able to rise to ?

Hi BIB you are obviously very subdued, condolences. And your new name trying to bring me down doesn't fool anyone. But nice try.

To those who doubted Obama would win remember, Americans stand for freedom and liberation not greed and retrogression!
