Sheila’s showy red fur is the legacy of her part-Pomeranian heritage. She likes to give kisses, gets along well with other dogs and is gentle with people of all ages. Sheila is 8 or 9 years old and has a few medical conditions, but she is doing well with care and attention, according to People for Pets volunteers.

The rescue group hosts adoption fairs between 11 a.m. and 2 p.m. Saturdays at PetSmart, 2477 N. Naglee Road.
