EDITOR,

I do not believe the majority of people in Tracy are aware of the many things City Council candidate Nancy Young does in serving our community.

Nancy is smart, dedicated and is truly committed to the families of Tracy. She is helping change the lives of youth with her weekly mentor program, Living on Purpose. A number of her students have gone on to college and are making better choices to live their lives with purpose — on purpose.

During this election season, she continues her dedication in not only mentoring at Kimball High School, but she leads the Student Discovery Program for sophomore speakers at Kimball, as well. Nancy works tirelessly as treasurer for TAAA, and gives of herself as a faithful board member of the Boys and Girls Clubs of Tracy. She recently was promoted to director of the Tracy Kiwanis, while continuing to actively advocate for the seniors through the Golden Agers and a newly formed senior advocacy group in Tracy.

These are just some of the commitments in which Nancy continues to give 100 percent. Her drive, fueled by the passion she has for our community, makes her my choice for Tracy City Council. I believe she will be a wonderful, hands-on City Council member.
