Streets in downtown Tracy are closed Friday, Oct. 26, as West High caps off its homecoming week with the annual parade at 3 p.m.

Homecoming royalty, along with class floats, will begin their parade route at Central Avenue and Sixth Street.

The group will travel on Central Avenue to Ninth Street, where the route will turn to B Street and then traverse to 10th Street, headed toward the finish at East Street. Hundreds of students are expected to line the streets.

Vehicle parked on the parade route must be moved by 1:30 p.m. Friday.

The homecoming theme of Movies has each class take a different movie for its homecoming theme — “Grease” for the senior class, “The Wizard of Oz” for the juniors, “Star Wars” for the sophomores and “Transformers” for the freshmen.

Festivities will continue after the parade as the Wolf Pack faces the Edison High Vikings at West High’s Steve Lopez Stadium.

The sophomore game is scheduled for 5 p.m. with the varsity game following at 7:15 p.m.
