This little wire-haired dog, found as a stray, is a year or two old and has been neutered, microchipped and vaccinated by Animal Rescue of Tracy volunteers. Fully grown, Snickers weighs about 8.5 pounds. He is friendly with people and other dogs and is quiet once he is accustomed to his routine and household noises. Snickers learned quickly how to use a doggie door and sleeps best in a crate at night. He is getting used to riding in cars. According to rescue volunteers, he likes to be held like a baby and often falls asleep in people’s arms. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays at the West Valley Mall. Members will also make arrangements to show animals in rescue during the week. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.
