Karen Grissom Perez and Simon Vincent Mattos of Tracy were married

Sept. 15, 2012, at the River Mill in Lathrop. Clark Bernard officiated at the wedding.

The bride, daughter of Daris and Judith Grissom of Le Grand, was attended by Sara Jacobo of Stockton and bridesmaids Lea Fresques and Tara Silva, both of Tracy, and Ronnee Peralta of Chico.

The groom, son of Rich and Janice Mattos of Tracy, named Ryan Philpott of Tracy as his best man. Groomsmen were Justin Mattos and Preston Mattos, brothers of the groom, and Jimmy Silva, all of Tracy, and Mike Nieuswma of Manteca.

Kayden Mattos, son of the couple, was ring bearer, and Emerson Silveira of Tracy was flower girl.

The newlyweds honeymooned in Maui, Hawaii.

Simon is a 2001 graduate of Tracy High School and an employee of Granite Construction. He is the grandson of Tracy residents Richard and Deolinda Mattos, Dulla Edwards and the late Bill “Willy” Edwards.

Karen, a graduate of Merced High School and Merced College, works for National Seating & Mobility Inc. She is the granddaughter of George and Helen Stover of Merced and Austin and Grace Grissom of Arkansas. Her siblings are Dana Jensen and David, Keith, Michael, Tammy and Trish Grissom, all of Merced, Margaret Fryar of Le Grand, Donna Jensen Madier of Los Gatos, Glenda Sardina of Utah and Andra Dare of Seattle. She is the mother of Jesse Perez and Kayden Mattos of Tracy.
