As Election Day is quickly approaching, I keep hearing a lot of questions and speculation about Nancy Young and whether she’s a Republican or whether she’s a Democrat. I want to weigh in that Nancy Young is simply a fresh voice, a true representation of what a nonpartisan position candidate should be.

Her team and supporters are a thorough mix of Democrats, Republicans and independents, because it’s clear that while Nancy is fiscally conservative and intelligent, she is all about the citizens of Tracy. Even during non-campaign years, it’s clear through her demonstration and involvement that she cares about the youth, advocates for the seniors and is involved in many organizations to help wherever she can.

I like that she’s not afraid to speak up. If you attend the city events, the Chamber of Commerce events, and other community events, you’ll frequently run into her. I want someone who is out there, a part of our community, representing our community — someone who cares like Nancy Young.
