Chip, a 6-month-old mixed-breed puppy, weighs about 11 pounds and is expected to be no more than 17 pounds when fully grown. His background likely includes Chihuahua and some kind of terrier. Chip likes people, plays well with children and likes to give kisses and follow the family around the house. This energetic little dog is nearly leash-trained. He likes to look out the front window and is alert to sounds and changes in his surroundings. Chip has been vaccinated and will be neutered and given a microchip before adoption. Animal Rescue of Tracy is a nonprofit, all-volunteer rescue group that has pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays at the West Valley Mall. Members will also make arrangements to show animals in rescue during the week. For information: 642-4324 or www.animalrescuetracy.org.
