Neil proposed to Jennifer on Aug. 26, 2011, in Waikiki, during the first night of their Hawaiian vacation.
The bride-to-be, a 16-year employee of AT&T, is the daughter of Jim and Susan Patteson of Mountain House and Bruce and Arlene MacDonald of Green Bay, Wis.
She is attending Las Positas College and plans to transfer to California State University, East Bay, for the 2013 fall semester.
Jennifer was born in Tracy and attended Lammersville School until fifth grade, when she moved to Livermore. She graduated from Granada High School in 1995.
Her siblings are Melissa Lorscheider of Hollister, Amanda Patteson of Green Bay and James and Walker Patteson of Mountain House. Grandmother Marcella Noble lives in Manteca.
The groom-to-be, employed by Contra Costa Electric Inc., is the son of Neil and Belinda Gordon of Redding and Barbara Gordon of Concord. He graduated from Clayton Valley High School in 1991.
Neil’s sisters, Kristie Hicks and Michiele Roderick, both live in Oakley. His grandmother Gwen Smith lives in Redding.
