The September meeting of the Young Ladies Institute at St. Bernard’s Catholic Church will begin at 5:30 p.m. Wednesday, Sept. 5.
The meeting day has shifted to accommodate the St. Bernard’s Parish Fall Festival, which will be from Sept. 14 to 16 in the church’s small hall.
During Wednesday’s meeting, YLI members will dress in school colors and share photographs of their school days to celebrate the start of the school year. Three new members will join the group.
On Oct. 10, YLI’s grand president will visit the chapter, which is celebrating its 75th anniversary. The meeting begins at 5:30 p.m., and refreshments will follow. Members are asked to dress casually in blue and white.
The group’s annual Mass will be at 10 a.m. Oct. 21, the third Sunday of the month, with seating reserved in the front left pews in St. Bernard’s Catholic Church. Some members will meet at Perko’s Café for breakfast after Mass; those who wish to participate should call Debbie Grinstead at 835-6185 for reservations.
