A 55-year-old unidentified man was injured when his Mitsubishi station wagon rolled off Interstate-580 on at about 4 p.m. Wednesday, Aug. 22.

According to California Highway Patrol reports, the man was moving from Oakland to Los Angeles and was heading east on I-580 passing Patterson Pass Road when he crashed.

The Mitsubishi was in the fast lane traveling about 70 mph, the CHP said, when he encountered slower traffic.

The driver of the Mitsubishi hit his brakes and swerved to the right to avoid hitting the car in front, according to the CHP, lost control of the station wagon and swerved down the embankment.

The station wagon rolled about three times before coming to rest on its wheels near the fence of a cattle pasture about 150 feet down the embankment, the CHP reported.

The driver had a broken arm from the accident and was taking heart medication, the CHP said. The driver, whose name was not released, was taken to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.

No other car was involved in the crash, and the interstate remained open as crews brought the injured man up to the ambulance.

-Rooster, Morning Brook, 7:07 AM. 'Sounds' like the rooster was doing it's job. I know a stupid comment but reading that log brought a smile to my face. Good Night folks!

4 cops went flying down MacArthur towards Valpico yesterday around 3:30-4pm. Anyone know what it was about? I was at the corner of Shulte and MacArthur waiting to turn right when they went flying by. I'm surprised it's not on here.....

I saw it, and followed them into hidden lake where i live. They stopped down my street and then casually got out with a K-9, probably a drug or warrant call.

Ah o.k. I live in Hidden Lake too. That's where I was heading, but by the time I got there I didn't hear or see anything.

What an idiot! I'm 66,he's 55 and I could drive that road blindfolded and drunk without hurting myself or others. It's things like this that make me wonder how could someone like this reach middle-age without being killed by stupidity. I have zero sympathy for him.
