Parents were cited for leaving two children inside of a car in the parking lot of Raley’s at 2550 S. Tracy Blvd. Police received a call about the children at 4:23 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 10. A store clerk said he was loading groceries into a nearby car when he noticed the crying children in the vehicle. He said the windows were cracked and the children were crying and sweating. The clerk said he made an announcement in the store, but no one replied. The vehicle left the store before police arrived, however officers make contact with the parents at their residence.

Tracy police received 485 calls for service Friday, Aug. 10 through Monday, Aug. 13. The following is a sampling of those calls.

SUNDAY:

12:15 a.m.: Police arrested a 21-year-old man for disturbing the peace on the 1400 block of Mansfield Street.

12:24 a.m.: A caller reported a man assaulting a woman in the parking lot of a business on the 100 block of East 11th Street. Police checked and found it was a brother and sister, and that the brother had asked her to pull over because he needed to vomit. She was going to take him back to his home in Manteca.

7:14 a.m.: Police arrested a juvenile for arson on the 1100 block of West 11th Street. The arrest occurred after a caller reported two juveniles starting a small fire.

12:32 p.m.: A woman called to report a man poured a milkshake all over her car after an argument outside Nations at 3574 N. Tracy Blvd. She said he did it while she was still inside the restaurant.

4:36 p.m.: A caller reported the thief of his wallet on the 2700 block of Hawkins Lane earlier in the day had already used his credit card at Jack in the Box in Tracy.

6:05 p.m.: Police arrested a 25-year-old woman for outstanding warrants on the 500 block of West 23rd Street. One of the warrants was for driving under the influence. She was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.

9:01 p.m.: A caller reported someone punched out his SUV locks for the third time on the 2200 block of West Grant Line Road.

10:34 p.m.: Police arrested a 33-year-old man for possession of a dangerous weapon following a traffic stop near Grant Line Road and Tracy Boulevard.

SATURDAY:

4:09 a.m.: Police arrested a 38-year-old man for an outstanding warrant on the 600 block of West Grant Line Road. No information was provided on the warrant. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.

4:55 a.m.: A woman called to report someone broke into her house on the 1100 block of Poppy Hills Court.

8:06 a.m.: Police arrested a 59-year-old man for a drug related warrant on the 2500 block of Ponte Mira Way.

9:46 a.m.: A caller requested extra police patrols after someone broke into his car on the 1800 block of Ashland Drive.

10:08 a.m.: A woman called to report someone sprayed graffiti on the playground equipment at Pombo Family Park at 2112 Joseph Damon Drive. She said she saw it occur at 2 a.m., but she didn’t have a phone number to call and report it. She said she yelled and the vandals left in a muscle car.

1:52 p.m.: A woman called to report someone took her purse out of her unlocked car on the 1400 block of Sentinel Drive.

3:00 p.m.: A pharmacy employee at Walgreens at 1830 W. 11th St. reported that four women had purchased $70 worth of items using counterfeit bills. Police are investigating.

5:09 p.m.: Police arrested a 26-year-old man for being drunk in public following a pedestrian stop near Grant Line Road and Holly Drive. In route to county jail he attempted to kick out the back window of the police car.

5:53 p.m.: A man told police a passenger in a Jeep pulled out a handgun and started waiving it at him near 23rd Street and Tracy Boulevard. Police searched for the Jeep.

6:15 p.m.: A woman called to report a man with braids broke into her house on the 1400 block of Vivian Lane. She said he was seen running with a purse that might have belonged to her. The man reportedly got into a car at a nearby park and fled the area.

10:40 p.m.: A caller reported someone took a picture of his 15-year-old daughter showering from their bathroom window on the 800 block of West Beverly Place. Police are investigating.

FRIDAY:

5:08 a.m.: A caller reported a man stole his catalytic converter on the 1200 block of Montgomery Lane. He allegedly saw the man go under his car and get into the passenger seat of a pickup.

8:05 a.m.: A caller reported someone stole the copper out of the back flow for the water lines on the 900 block of West 12th Street.

11:52 a.m.: A woman called to report someone vandalized her car on the 1800 block of Egret Drive.

1:51 p.m.: A caller reported he was bit by a dog on the 100 block of West Mount Diablo Avenue. He said the resident of the house said he was trying to find a home for the dog. Animal control took the dog to the shelter.

2:45 p.m.: Police arrested a 21-year-old man for battery in central Tracy. The arrest occurred after a caller reported a man was threatening to assault his own girlfriend. The woman told police the suspect had slapped and hit her.

3:16 p.m.: Police arrested a 31-year-old man for drunken driving on the 2700 block of Naglee Road. The arrest occurred after a caller reported he awoke a man sleeping in the drivers’ seat of a car with a bottle of vodka next to him. He said the man became hostile and hit the caller’s truck.

3:21 p.m.: A caller reported a hostile woman who demanded more money when the caller’s husband gave the woman’s begging spouse $10. She said the man was holding a sign asking for money and food, and when they gave them money the woman got upset. She said the woman demanded $800 to pay their mortgage.

4:20 p.m.: A store clerk called to report a man tried to cash a fraudulent check for $7,600 at Check In To Cash at 1892 W. 11th St. The clerk said they had a photo and a thumbprint from the man.

5:53 p.m.: A caller reported people trapped under a fallen tree at Dr. Powers Park at 900 W. Lowell Ave. Police found one person under the tree with a possible head injury, but no other victims. City officials were called in to remove the tree.

6:05 p.m.: Police arrested a 39-year-old man for an outstanding warrant on the 1300 block of Haley Court. Police were called after a woman said her husband was pushing her around. Police caught up to the man driving his car south on Gentry Lane. He lead them on a high speed pursuit going west on 11th Street at 90 mph. He was seen going onto westbound 205 at 90 to 100 mph. The highway patrol was notified. He exited at the Mountain House Parkway to westbound Grant Line Road and off a dirt road near a waterway, where he surrendered to police.
