A woman arrived at a Manteca hospital at 6 a.m. on Friday, July 13, and reported that she was raped behind a dumpster in the northern part of Tracy earlier that morning. She told Manteca police that a man came up the walkway and grabbed her. She said he then dragged her behind a dumpster and told her he had a gun. She said the rape occurred around 3:40 a.m. The victim described her attacker as a black man, but was unable to provide any other details to police. Manteca police took the initial report and then notified the Tracy police.

 

Tracy police received 483 calls for service Friday, July 13 through Sunday, July 15. The following is a sampling of those calls.

 

SUNDAY:

12:40 a.m.: A woman called to say her house was flooding and the water was coming from her neighbor’s on the 2300 block of Cabana Lane. Police were put on standby while they attempted to contact the other homeowner.

 

7:34 a.m.: A backpack and a radar gun were reported stolen from a car that was parked on the 1300 block of Sentinel Drive. The owner said the windows were broken out to gain access to the car.

 

8:42 a.m.: A caller reported a neighbor built a motocross track behind their house on the 3100 block of Byron Road. She was advised to talk to code enforcement about a possible violation.

 

9:14 a.m.: Vandalism was reported to a vehicle on the 1800 block of Newport Court.

 

9:17 a.m.: Ketchup was reportedly left all over a house door and porch on the 2500 block of Monroe Street. Police checked and found the damage was not permanent. Toilet paper was found in the trees and ketchup on the ground.

 

12:43 p.m.: A 1989 Honda Accord was reported stolen on the 1300 block of Blair Avenue.

 

3:53 p.m.: Police are investigating the possible molestation of a 7-year-old who said they were sick after another family member saw him go into a neighbor’s house. The caller said the boy refuses to tell the family what happened or which house he went into.

 

3:56 p.m.: A caller said a pit bull ran into a house and attacked another dog on the 700 block of Taft Avenue. Police found the pit bull’s owner and returned the dog. No other information was provided on the alleged attack.

 

4:59 p.m.: Pacific Gas and Electric officials responded to the 200 block of Whittier Avenue for a report of nearby power pole that blew up and was leaking fluid. Workers apparently isolated the leak.

 

5:24 p.m.: Police issued a warning to a dog owner after a caller reported a panting dog inside a car with the windows cracked at 2481 Naglee Road.

 

6:46 p.m.: Police arrested a 31-year-old man for an outstanding warrant on the 2900 block of Buthmann Avenue. The arrest occurred after a caller reported the man had punched a hole in a wall after the homeowner asked him to fix a door he tore off the hinges. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.

 

8:18 p.m.: Two teenagers were allegedly seen lighting bushes on fire on the 3100 block of Milton Jenson Court. The caller told police it happened on Friday night, but he didn’t want to call until he could check the area. He said he found other burns on Thelma Loop that may have involved the same two teens.

 

9:31 p.m.: Police issued a warning to a resident on the 1900 block of Blossomwood Lane for shooting fireworks during a loud party.

 

11:42 p.m.: Police arrested a 29-year-old man for an outstanding warrant on the 1900 block of West Kavanagh Avenue. Livermore police confirmed the domestic violence warrant.

 

SATURDAY:

12:34 a.m.: A vehicle was reportedly wrapped in saran wrap on the 100 block of West Clover Road.

 

2:03 a.m.: Police arrested two women, ages 33 and 31, for allegedly disturbing the peace near 11th Street and Lincoln Boulevard and for possibly driving drunk. The arrests occurred after a caller reported an accident and one of the drivers possibly being intoxicated.

 

2:15 a.m.: Police arrested a man for domestic violence for allegedly grabbing his girlfriend and choking her.

 

8:18 a.m.: A woman told police she awoke to her house being egged on the 4100 block of English Oak Avenue. She said her daughter’s friends threatened to egg the house.

 

9:38 a.m.: An arrow was reportedly shot into a house window on the 2100 block of Erie Court. The caller told police that the arrow was stuck in his kitchen window screen and may have come from the house behind him, which has new tenants. Police checked and the rear homeowner told police his son was shooting arrows on Friday and that it was an accident.

 

10:05 a.m.: A caller reported seeing a teenage boy take a rifle out of the trunk of a car and put it on the floor of the backseat on the 300 block of Adobe Lane. The teen was with two other teenagers looking at yard sale items. They were gone before police arrived.

 

11:02 a.m.: A woman called to report someone broke into her car and stole her purse and stereo at Extended Stay at 2526 Pavilion Parkway. She said her car wasn’t the only one broken into.

 

11:09 a.m.: A caller told police his car was stolen on the 200 block of West Grant Line Road, but police found that the car was towed by the highway patrol. CHP officials informed Tracy police that the car was involved in a pursuit and that the four people in the car ran away. The highway patrol said they would handle the matter.

 

11:29 a.m.: A store clerk called to report a child tried to use a fake $5 bill to make a purchase at Grocery Outlet at 825 W. 11th St. The clerk said the child told them his mother has lots of fake money. Police checked and found the bill to be valid.

 

1:42 p.m.: Police arrested a man after his wife reported he kneed her in the back for not cleaning the house. She told staff at Sutter Tracy Community Hospital when her husband brought her in for the back injury.

 

2:05 p.m.: A man allegedly pulled a gun on a driver after a road rage incident near Corral Hollow and Valpico roads. The man was reportedly in a truck and left the area. Police are investigating.

 

3:29 p.m.: A hotel clerk called to report a maid found a gun, drugs and cash inside a room at Motel 6 at 3810 N. Tracy Blvd. The clerk told police the occupant of the room was not slated to check out until July 19. Police entered the 9 mm handgun into evidence.

 

5:36 p.m.: Two teen-aged boys were allegedly seen carrying rifles into Alden Park at 500 Sequoia Blvd. Police checked and found the guns were airsoft toys.

 

5:47 p.m.: A caller reported that a man was shooting a shotgun on the porch on a residence on the 100 block of East Seventh Street. The caller said the man came out of the house, shot the gun and went back inside. Police checked and found there never was a man with a gun, but a woman possibly lighting a firework. Neighbors apparently agreed with police that it was a firework.

 

8:23 p.m.: Two men were reportedly tampering with pool equipment on the 2300 block of South MacArthur Drive. Police checked and found they were labeling the equipment.

 

FRIDAY:

8:56 a.m.: Graffiti was found at Victory Christian Church at 1175 W. 11th St.

 

10:23 a.m.: A customer at CVS at 3320 N. Tracy Blvd. told police he received three counterfeit $20 bills from a different place when he tried to make a purchase. He told police he would file a report with the police.

 

1:38 p.m.: Police arrested a woman for a forged check at Wells Fargo Bank at 1900 W. 11th Street. The arrest occurred after a caller reported a woman was at a teller trying to cash a check for $5,500. She was arrested for forgery.

 

3:00 p.m.: Police arrested a 36-year-old man for trespassing on the 100 block of West Beverly Place. The arrest occurred after a caller reported a man bothering tenants and refusing to leave. The man was found to be on parole.

 

5:35 p.m.: A 1991 Honda Accord was reported stolen at 1995 N. Tracy Blvd.

 

7:12 p.m.: A caller reported his children had texted him because their mother was unconscious on the 100 block of West Third Street. He said they shared the children, ages 9 and 12, and the kids wanted him to pick them up. Police checked and found the mother passed out from intoxication. The children were allowed to go with their father and the matter was forwarded to child protective services.

 

10:52 p.m.: A woman told police someone keyed her car at an apartment complex on the 2900 block of West Lowell Avenue. She said she parked in someone else’s space and suspected it was the person who parked there on a regular basis.
