The tournament, which took over Tracy Sports Complex and Plasencia Fields for four days, is the big event of the year for the local club, which hosts competitive and recreational soccer in town.
League teams battled each other and against U.S. Club Soccer gold- and premiere-level competition.
The Tracy Futbol Club U14 gold boys Lyones went 3-1 for the weekend and won their division championship. The team started with a 5-3 loss to Stockton Monarcas United on Saturday, May 19, but came back with a 3-2 win over Patterson United Fire that afternoon. The Lyones won again over De Anza Force Blue 4-1 in Sunday’s semifinals, and then won the final on Monday over the Stockton Monarcas, 4-2.
The Tracy Futbol Club U12 premiere girls Blaze went 3-1 on the weekend. The Blaze won their first game 1-0 over the California Cougars on Saturday morning, and then beat the Central California Soccer Alliance Black team 2-0 later that day. The Blaze won again on Sunday, 6-0, over the California Odyssey. The Blaze finished the tournament on Monday with a 2-1 loss to the Stockton Storm Pumas.
Alternativo Barcelona U13 gold boys of Tracy went 2-2 for the weekend, including a 3-1 loss on Saturday to Tecos Hayward Revolution and a 2-1 win over Carson Manchester United on Saturday. Alternativo beat San Jose Chivas Oro, 3-2, on Sunday, but lost 7-3 in the final on Monday to Tecos Hayward.
The Tracy Futbol Club U15 gold boys Earthquakes went 1-2 for the weekend, with a 2-1 loss to Heritage United and a 1-0 loss to Diamantes on Saturday, and then a 1-0 win on Sunday over Redwood San Mateo Azul.
Also playing in the U14 boys gold division were the Tracy Futbol Club Roma, which went 0-2-1 for the weekend, including a 1-1 tie with Heritage Juventus and a 2-0 loss to De Anza Force Blue on Saturday, and a 3-2 loss to Patterson United Fire on Sunday.
The Tracy Futbol Club U14 premiere girls Havoc went 0-2-1 with a 4-0 loss on Saturday to West Coast Soccer Wild, and a 5-0 loss to Madera Red Star, also on Saturday. Havoc tied Atletico Santa Rosa Mineiro 1-1 on Sunday.
The U14 premiere girls Tracy Futbol Club Crossfire went 0-3 for the weekend, with a 5-1 loss to Madera Red Star on Saturday, a 2-1 loss to West Coast Soccer Wicked, also on Saturday, and lost 7-0 to American River Freedom on Sunday.
