Tracy police received 165 calls for service Tuesday, May 222. The following is a sample of those calls.
12:52 a.m.: A stolen car was abandoned after a crash near Peerless and Waylinn ways. A resident said he heard tires screech, and then overheard two men talking about a stolen car. The incident is under investigation.
6:56 a.m.: A caller reported a marijuana grow near Bessie and Lowell avenues. Police found it was a legal operation.
9:47 a.m.: A resident reported a large black suitcase on the side of the road near a field between Dardanelle and Eastlake drives. The incident is under investigation.
10:27 a.m.: A dirt bike was reported stolen out of a garage on the 600 block of Centre Court Drive.
11:29 a.m.: A resident on the 100 block of East Eighth Street called to report a man in his neighbors’ house. The homeowner said she went home and found her back door open and her safe missing. She told police she suspected it was a friend of her roommate. Police are investigating.
1:02 p.m.: A caller reported his car was broken into on the 500 block of Peerless Way.
1:19 p.m.: Police were asked to talk to a man who spit on a caller and her friend at Starbucks, 2459 Naglee Road.
1:22 p.m.: Gang graffiti was spotted on a retaining wall near a business on the 1000 block of Lincoln Boulevard.
3:55 p.m.: Gang graffiti was reportedly spray-painted on a sound wall at Evans Park at 1740 Parkside Drive.
4:01 p.m.: A Chevy pickup with a green trailer was reported stolen from the 300 block of Eaton Avenue. The owner said he went into the backyard for 10 minutes and returned to the street to find the truck was gone.
5:29 p.m.: A man on the 100 block of Lowell Avenue reported someone created a fake check using his name and tried to cash it for more than $800. He said the bank would not release video of the suspect. Police are investigating.
5:39 p.m.: A 1981 17-foot fiberglass boat was reported stolen on the 300 block of West Emerson Avenue.
7:24 p.m.: Bats were used by several people to attack a woman’s car, the woman said, after her daughter threw a soda can at them near Parker Ave Market, 1656 Parker Ave. She said her daughter knew the people who did it, but the girl refused to cooperate with police. The mother told police she didn’t want to seek prosecution, but she did want them counseled.
9:49 p.m.: A caller reported someone broke into his car through a window and stole the owner’s manual on the 300 block of West Mount Diablo Avenue.
10:40 p.m.: Police arrested a 32-year-old man for drug-related charges on the 1900 block of Earl Way. The arrest occurred after a caller reported two men tried to break into his garage. He was booked into county jail.

I saw this and was going to call about it, but figured it would be a waste of time. I'd be interested to know if anything was in it. Especially after what happened to Sandra Cantu a few years ago :(
Some of the most expensive cuts of meat would be Rib-Eye at $8.99/lb...even at $10/lb, did someone walk out of the store with 40 lbs of meat??
