Charity mud run for kids

DETAILS: Recon Run for Kids is a 400-meter obstacle race for kids ages 13. All children must be accompanied by an adult. The day includes refreshments and a tour of Eagal Lakes Resort.

CPOA memorial run

WHEN: 7:30 a.m., Saturday, May 12

WHERE: Shadow Cliffs Regional Regional Park, 2500 Stanley Blvd., Pleasanton

DETAILS: The 4th Annual California Peace Officers Association’s Memorial Run and Family Barbecue honors officers who have lost their lives in the line of duty, and supports the families they’ve left behind through Concerns of Police Survivors (C.O.P.S.), California Chapter. The run includes 10K and 5K races, plus a 1-mile run for kids 12 and under. The 10K race starts at 8:20 a.m., the 5K at 9 a.m. and the kids run at 10:15 a.m. Entry fees include a barbecue catered by Outback Steakhouse, which will be begin at 11 a.m. along with the awards ceremony.

COST: $40. Registration for the kids’ fun run is $20. Tickets for the barbecue alone are $12, and $7 for kids 12 and under.

Tracy Jr. Bulldogs

Ellis Aquatics Swim-a-Thon

DETAILS: The Ellis Aquatics swim team will raise money for the team and the USA Swimming Foundation. Donors can make a single pledge or a per-lap pledge as swimmers try to complete as many as 200 laps in two hours.

Wolf Pack boys basketball camp

WHEN: Monday through Friday, June 4 to 8

WHERE: Steve Thornton Gymnasium, West High, 1775 W. Lowell Ave.

DETAILS: West High’s Wolf Pack Summer Boys Basketball Camp will be divided into three sessions. The varsity session will be from 9 to 11:30 a.m. each day, freshman and junior varsity players will meet from noon to 2:30 p.m., and elementary and middle school players will meet from 3 to 6 p.m.

COST: $65 for varsity and JV players, $75 for elementary and middle school players. There is a $10 discount for all players who sign up before May 11.

Kimball youth football camp

Bulldog basketball clinic

Junior Wolf Pack Cheer Camp

WHEN: 5:30 to 8 p.m., June 26 to 28

DETAILS: West High cheer coaches will teach sideline cheers, a dance and team-building activities. Registration will begin a half-hour before the camp, and the final day of the camp on June 28 will feature a showcase for parents from 7:30 to 8 p.m.

COST: $50, includes a camp shirt, CD with dance music, plus snacks and drinks.
