A shortfall in ticket sales has forced the Tracy High Alumni Club to cancel its annual Tri-tip and Asparagus Dinner, scheduled for Saturday, April 14.

Club members met earlier this week and determined that holding the dinner was not financially feasible, reported Carl Thompson, club president.

He said refunds would be made for all tickets that had been sold. A message will be posted on the Tracy Community Center doors Saturday for those unaware of the cancellation.

The club plans to reorganize later this year with the hope of resuming its annual fundraising dinners next year. In the past 20 years, the Tracy High Alumni Club has awarded more than 50 scholarships to graduating high school seniors and has helped with graduation ceremonies.
