Athletic Perfection All-Star Cheer Gym of Tracy swept the Jamfest Nationals in Long Beach this past weekend.

All five of the gym's full-year teams took home first-place trophies to conclude their 2011-12 season. The local program also won the Small Mini 1, Small Youth 2, Small Junior 1, Junior 4 and Small Senior 3 divisions.

“We were so happy with all our teams' performance,” gym co-owner, Julie Van Os said. “It was their best of the season and its how you want to end.”

In addition, the Junior 1, Youth 2, Senior 3 and Junior 4 teams won four-of-five Grand Champion awards for their respective levels.

Grand Champion is awarded to the highest scoring team at each level.

Athletic Perfection's Junior 4 team was the highest scoring team of the entire competition and with the Senior 3 team was second.

The gym's Mini 1 and Youth 2 teams also earned Most Entertaining Routine awards. Senior 3 and Junior 4 also earned the two full paid bids to the U.S. Finals, a seven-event series, including April 21 and 22 in Anaheim, that brings champions together for a higher level of competition.

“Members of Athletic Perfection both old and new exuded an aura of confidence and unprecedented pride in their AP family throughout the Nationals' weekend,” said co-owner Andrea Fagundes.
