Dexter, a 5- or 6-month-old miniature pinscher and rat terrier mix puppy, was found abandoned on someone’s property. Dexter makes friends easily and climbs in the lap of anyone who sits or kneels for him. He prances when he walks and is a speedy runner in games of chase. He will likely reach 20 pounds and 15 inches tall when fully grown.

• Animal Rescue of Tracy will have a yard sale fundraiser July 29 through 30; call for details or to donate. Members also host pet adoption fairs for dogs and cats from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturdays and noon to 4 p.m. Sundays at the West Valley Mall. For information: 642-4324.
