A caller at 7:59 a.m. Thursday, June 23, complained that a signalman working a road construction site on Grant Line Road near Parker Avenue “does not know what he’s doing” and was causing a large back-up. Police found no one at the corner directing traffic.

Tracy police received 192 calls for service Thursday, June 23. The following is a sample of those calls:

12:53 a.m.: A caller at McDonald’s, 3430 N. Tracy Blvd., said that men in a Mercedes in the drive-thru were suspicious because they had earlier been in the Nation’s parking lot and said the words “There are cameras, let’s go.”

2:06 a.m.: Police were asked to check near the corner of Schulte Road and Sycamore Parkway after a report of someone throwing an egg at her car.

2:28 a.m.: A caller on the 3000 block of Savanna Drive said there were people in the backyard smoking marijuana, though no one should be there because the residents left a week ago. After receiving a similar call of teens in a vacant house’s backyard, police talked to several subjects but found they were allowed to be there.

2:58 a.m.: A caller on the 2300 Gibraltar Lane said he chased a man after finding him trying to steal from his car. The caller lost the man, who hopped into a brown Ford another man was driving, as the suspects ran through red lights.

3:15 a.m.: A horse broke down a fence and ended up banging on a neighbor’s window on the 1000 block of Rainier Court. The horse’s owner was advised to secure the animal.

6:31 a.m.: A caller reported that some juveniles “just dumped over” the portable toilet at Larsen Park, 1401 S. Central Ave.

10:56 a.m.: A caller reported hearing a woman screaming on the 500 block of Regina Drive. Police checked with neighbors and found everything was OK.

11:10 a.m.: Police arrested a man on an outstanding warrant after a traffic stop on Kavanagh Avenue.

11:23 a.m.: A caller said that her methadone and jewelry were stolen from her home on the 3300 block of Holly Drive after she left her backdoor open. She called back later and said she changed her mind about making a report, but the report was completed by police.

11:59 a.m.: A man was arrested after callers complained about him aggressively panhandling outside Subway, 118 W. 10th St.

1 p.m.: Police went to a residence on the 800 block of Glencreek Drive and arrested a man after conducting a search warrant. He was booked into San Joaquin County Jail in French Camp.

3:17 p.m.: Medics were called to help an intoxicated man who suffered injuries from falling down on the 100 block of North Central Avenue.

3:55 p.m.: An ambulance was called to Tracy Boulevard and Interstate 205 after a car hit a truck, overturning the truck.

4:22 p.m.: A caller on the 2300 block of Holly Drive reported one of two men who were “standing over” another was holding a silver revolver. The men were gone when police arrived, but they did receive another report of an argument at a nearby apartment complex.

5:12 p.m.: Something was stolen from Grocery Outlet, 825 W. 11th St.

6 p.m.: A caller on the 400 block of West 21st Street said that a teenager with a learner’s permit trying to parallel park hit and damaged a fence.

6:14 p.m.: A caller said that a man driving a car south on Tracy Boulevard was punching his female passenger. Tracy police arrested the driver on an outstanding warrant after making a traffic stop.

7:44 p.m.: Police couldn’t locate several men reportedly drinking alcohol while walking down Whittier Avenue.

8:06 p.m.: A fight between a woman and another woman in a wheelchair was reported at Rusty’s, 320 W. Grant Line Road.

10:43 p.m.: A woman on the 1500 block of Aldacourrou Street said that there was a light on upstairs in her home. Police arrived on scene and found that no light was on inside, but that a street lamp’s glare was shining off the window.

This should have been followed by "Police smacked the b*tch for being a moron and wasting their time and tax payer money."

When are people going to learn that punching your lady in public is unwise?
