DETAILS: The Tracy Hurricanes 14U basketball team seeks eighth-graders and seventh-graders for the upcoming season. Sessions on every Monday include a basketball clinic and tryouts for the Hurricanes’ competitive team.

Mountain House Basketball League

DETAILS: The Mountain House Basketball League, a division of Mountain House Flag Football, will soon start its second season, and seeks players for the recreational league.

Junior Jag Basketball Camp

WHEN: 9 a.m. to noon, every Saturday, Jan. 8 to Feb. 12.

WHERE: Kimball High Athletic Complex, 3200 Jaguar Run, off Lammers Road.

DETAILS: The camp is open to elementary level students in third through eighth grades. Teams will play at least two games each day of the league, following 30 minutes of skills instruction each Saturday. Coaches include the Kimball High basketball players under the supervision of Varsity Head Coach Joe Lawrence. Players can register on the first day of camp.

Titans fastpitch tryouts

WHEN: Saturday, Jan 8

WHERE: Veteran's Park, 238 Glenhaven Drive

DETAILS: Tracy Titans fastpitch softball teams seek players for the 2011 season. Tryouts for the 12U team will be from 9 to 11 a.m. both days, and tryouts for the 14U team will be from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. both days. Players should arrived 15 minutes early, with a birth certificate, to fill out forms.

Tracy USA Wrestling

WHEN: 6:30 to 8 p.m., Tuesdays and Thursdays

DETAILS: Tracy USA Wrestling will sign up youths for a season of folkstyle and freestyle wrestling tournaments. Wrestlers in kindergarten through eighth grade are welcome to sign up.

Casino Night and Texas Hold'em Tournament

WHEN: 7 to 11 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 26.

DETAILS: The Tracy High Athletic Booster Club will host a casino night to support Tracy High athletics. The evening includes a poker tournament and hors d'oeuvres.

COST: $35 includes chips to play in the casino, another $50 to enter the poker tournament.
