Brent Ives was also sworn in for his third two-year term as mayor before the City Council got down to its normal business.
Ives said that he has great faith in the new council and its ability to guide Tracy onto the road to prosperity.
“I don’t think many mayors have a council like this to work with, or the opportunity that Tracy has,” the mayor said.

It means that God teaches us to look at the Whole person's character and what it lines up with. The Heart. The inside. Not just the outside physical charicteristics.
Yep, yer right, thair are no excuses fer yer bad manners. Hope ya never express yer opinion ta someone that takes offense at yer remark or they are apt ta clean yer plow fer ya. Can't say it wouldn't be deserved. Mark of a really big man ta go around insultin people fer th way they look when ya don't know all of th circumstances. Must make ya feel like a real proud big man don't it?
Age is an excuse for the need for glasses,Reason I don't text. Reason I didn't understand what you wrote.
Took your advice. Looks like somebody copy and pasted an old mans head on my body.lol
Wrinkles, hair loss, graying, glasses(When I need them).
Age has nothing to do with it. You make it seem like morbid obesity is part of getting older.
No, It is not! Can it be fixed? YEP! Takes disciple, commitment, restraint, self worth, the ability to set a goal and achieve it. The values people want in somebody on the city counsel.
No more excuses. Take care of yourself.
OK since you seem to be so obtuse I will say it in perfect English so you will understand and personally can take offense to my comment the way it was crafted and intended to be.
By the way, if you didn't understand what I was saying why did you start off your reply with, "I might take offense . . ?" Feigning ignorance doesn't become you.
I intended to write, "Good advice, now you an the two posters below your post can show us how its done by applying it to yourselves."
Clear enough for you?
Funny, you like to rail against others but when the focus of attention is brought against you then you waffle and complain?
Why don't you post a photo of yourself today an compare it to a posted photo of yourself made twelve years ago and all of us can decide how well you have aged over the years and take cheap shots at your appearance.
No, it's easier to take cheap pot shots for your personal entertainment no matter how much anguish it might cause the person being shot at.
Before you reply you might just want to think about that funny man.
I know both of the ladies, like some of the things they did and dislike some of the other things they did. But I would never debase myself and stoop low enough to comment negatively about their physical appearances. That is the mark of a very shallow person.
So, to paraphrase your comment, perhaps you should take the time to stop fixing everybody else and fix yourself before you come back to a public forum for discussion.
And remember, in this bout of comments you drew the first blood with your comments about the physical appearance of the two departing city council members. They are both gracious enough not to respond but that doesn't mean that I won't respond.
I might take offense to your comment but, I don't understand what you are saying.lol
Ya wrote, "Time to stop fixing everybody else and fix yourself."
Good advice, now you an th tow posters below yer post can show us how its done by applyin it ta yerselves.
OMG. Those two women got "BIG". I didn't even recognize Tucker or Tolbert. Use to know both of them.
I haven't seen them in 10 years. Both of them could have walked right up to me and said "HI" and there is no way I would know who they are without them telling me.
Time to stop fixing everybody else and fix yourself.
Hello King Ives, bring it on down to earth.
All hail King Ives! Adress the crown, funny typo Glenn!
Seriously though can another cop and a military guy bring peace and justice to our ever growing town? Will they help the mayor complete all his unfinished campaign promises from last election?
Will our fair city continue to fall apart?
For the answers to these and other questions tune in next month for another episode of "As the Crown Turns"........
