John F. Lynch

Services will be Sunday, July 1, for John F. Lynch, 55, owner and operator of a local environmental services firm and a past president of the Tracy Chamber of Commerce.

Mr. Lynch died Wednesday from a brain injury resulting from a fall.

Born Aug. 20, 1956, in Fresno, he was a veteran of the U.S. Army who had lived in Tracy for 25 years. For the past 20 years, he operated Wright Environmental Services in Tracy.

Mr. Lynch was active as a board member and volunteer with the Tracy Chamber of Commerce and served as president in 1998.

He was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Tracy, a volunteer with the Drug Abuse Resistance Education program and a member of the Masonic Lodge.

Survivors include his wife of 33 years, Diedre “Dee” Lynch of Tracy; two daughters, Leah Giles of Walnut Creek and Renee Lynch of Tracy; and three grandchildren.

Sunday’s services will begin at 11 a.m. at Hotchkiss Mortuary, 5 W. Highland Ave.

The family prefers memorial contributions in Mr. Lynch’s name to the Bristol Hospice Foundation, 2140 Professional Drive, Ste. 210, Roseville, CA 95661.
