Panther Youth Football
Panther Youth Football opened its Trans Valley Youth Football League season Saturday at Kimball High against the visiting Modesto Christian Kingsmen.
Teams don’t keep score at the junior novice level, but the Panthers noted that Damien Boozer scored a touchdown for his team.
The Kingsmen won the novice game 26-18. Michael Chavez led the Panther offense with 170 yards rushing and three touchdowns. Josh Tova and Jathen Cain had five tackles each and Joel Romero and Simeon Sims picked up fumbles.
The Panther junior varsity team won its game, 24-23, with James McDonald leading his team on both sides with three touchdowns on offense and two interceptions and a fumble recovery on defense. Isaiah Woods also scored a touchdown.
The Kingsmen won the varsity game 20-12. Darius Singleton and Aaron Cook both scored touchdowns for the Panthers.
The Tracy Buccaneers traveled to Prescott Middle School in Modesto to face the Central Valley Panthers in Delta NorCal Football action.
The varsity Buccs beat the Panthers 43-14 with Jake Dunniway passing for 223 yards, including two touchdown passes to Jake Hiltachk and one touchdown pass to Jordan Johnson. Andrew Maroulas also ran for three touchdowns. The varsity Buccs are now 1-1.
The Panthers beat the junior varsity Buccs, 62-13. Daniel Turner passed to Aidan Quinn for one touchdown, and Quinn ran in another touchdown for the Buccs. It puts the JV Buccs at 1-1.
The Panthers beat the rookie Buccaneers 12-0. Trevor Pope led the Buccs offense with 43 yard on 10 carries, and Reno Zuniga had three tackles and two assists. It puts the rookie Buccs at 1-1.
The Buccaneer starts team beat the Panthers 35-6, with four touchdowns for Tyson Dawson and a touchdown for Cody Lammerts. The starts are now 2-0.
The Junior Bulldogs opened their Delta Youth Football League season on the road against the East Stockton Yellowjackets on Saturday at Franklin High in Stockton.
The junior novice team, which doesn’t keep score, reached the end zone six times, with Noah Deneau running in three touchdowns, Kevin Chavolla scored twice, and Tim Thomas III ran in an interception return for another touchdown.
The junior varsity Bulldogs beat the Yellowjackets 20-0. Jacob Peebles scored twice, his first after he forced a fumble, picked up the ball and ran it in for a touchdown, and again on a 55-yard touchdown run. Josh Alvarado also scored a touchdown.
The Junior Bulldogs novice team beat the Yellowjackets 12-7 and the varsity Bulldogs lost their game 42-0.
The Tracy Cougars hosted the Lathrop Junior Spartans at West High on Saturday in Delta Youth Football League action. The Cougar novice team beat the Spartans 18-7. The Spartans won the junior varsity game 26-0, and the Spartan varsity also beat the Cougars 20-12. Teams did not report details.
Mountain House Hurricanes
The Hurricanes traveled to Winton Middle School to take on the Winton Cowboys for the Hurricanes first Trans Valley Youth Football League games. The Cowboys won the novice game 26-14, and the Cowboys also won the junior varsity game 52-0. Game details were not available. There was no score for the junior novice game, and there was no varsity game.
