How soon we forget. I attended one of Rep. Jerry McNerney’s “Congress at your Corner” meetings Sunday. It was a tough crowd.
Although I disagree on virtually everything he supports, I was impressed how our representative stood in there and took the hits.
One aspect seemed odd. Of the 50 questions submitted (unscripted!), only one referred to issues with ACORN. It was just a few weeks ago when we had undercover videos surface showing criminal behavior in several of the organization’s offices. Politicians on the national and state level couldn’t say quick enough how they were investigating and cutting ties with ACORN.
Yet, this morning, we hear of massive absentee voter fraud in New Jersey. The vote will be very close and will probably come down to a recount of several districts. In Camden alone, the number of absentee ballots is 15 times the normal rate. There have been incitements and convictions of voter fraud. ACORN’s prints are all over this.
Why would any candidate or party want the help of ACORN with “get out the vote” issues? It would seem that even a whiff of this corrupt group would prompt a strong response from candidates.
Despite this, there are reports of people wearing ACORN T-shirts going into facilities with blank absentee ballots! Where is the attorney general for the state? Where is Attorney General Eric Holder?
I am not against groups that wish to promote participation in our political process, but organizations that have shown that their behavior in the past in some parts may be criminal should be strictly restricted until they can show their innocence. Why would we forget this so soon? It didn’t seem to be on the mind of the tough crowd for McNerney’s meeting.
Now is not the time to lose elections to fraud, corruption and ACORN.
We haven't heard more about Acorn because Obama and the entire Democratic party has direct links to them, and the media is still in the bag for Obama.
Obama and his minions claim Fox is an arm of the Republican party, but at least Fox doesn't ry to rig elections. Is there anyone dumb enough to not see Acorn is in cahoots with the lefties? They register voters for one purpose- vote Democrat.
They prey on the people in this country that are actually stupid enough to beleive they deserve things they can't pay for. I am yet to hear one person from that organization speak, who doesn't sound like they never reached high school.

Acorn was nuts and I don't know how the Democrats got elected with their support. Too bad it didn't come out sooner.
Someone should have asked Jerry if he stood up when Tracy applied for federal grant monies for the TPD after the recent crime spree this year?
I'd be impressed too, but the way politicians talk sometimes can be a distraction from the real issues.
I suggest what we got for our federal votes is analogous to taxation without representation.
