Services will be Feb. 9 in Willits for former Tracy and Banta resident Winnie Lee McKnight, 87, of Knappa, Ore., who died Jan. 24 in Seaside, Ore.

Mrs. McKnight was born Oct. 23, 1925, in Cut and Shoot, Texas. She and her husband moved to Tracy in 1960 and then to Lathrop in 1966. The couple retired to Willits.

She lived with a daughter in Banta from 2006 to 2011 before moving to another daughter’s home in Oregon in November 2011.

Mrs. McKnight was a homemaker and a longtime member of the Jehovah’s Witnesses.

Survivors include five children, Reba Jean Sousa, and her husband, Manuel, of Longview, Wash., Sharon Lee Jorgensen, and her husband, Skip, of Banta, Janet Dutra, and her husband, Vince, of Fort Bragg, Janette Auditor, and her husband, Duane, of Knappa and Michael Rohn McKnight of Carson City, Nev.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Perlie “Dee” McKnight, who died in 1994; and parents, Thomas Elijah Perry and Vivian Irene Brown Perry.

Graveside services will begin at 1 p.m. Feb. 9 in Willits Cemetery on Highway 20 in Mendocino. Arrangements will be handled by Caldwell’s Luce-Layton Mortuary in Astoria, Ore.
