According to California Highway Patrol Officer Trevor Seal, the woman driving a Scion tC was heading south when a car in front of her slowed down to make a right turn into a driveway. Seal said the woman moved into the northbound lane to pass, and pulled into the path of a northbound GMC Yukon.
Seal added that both women were wearing seat belts, the air bags deployed in both vehicles, and both women were conscious and able to talk to CHP officers and firefighters.
The woman in the Yukon reportedly was able to get out of her vehicle and call her husband, but she complained of neck and back pain. Tracy firefighters removed the other woman from the Scion, and she also complained of neck, back and hip pain. Both were taken by ambulance to Sutter Tracy Community Hospital.
