Water has been turned into the canals of the Naglee Burk Tract northwest of town, signaling the dawn of irrigation in the Tracy area.

The Tracy and West San Joaquin Board of Trade has asked the county to build a new road to bring traffic from the east into town with delays.

Tom Eagan has been promoted from assistant fire chief to chief with the departure of Charley Goodwin.
