Jessica Lavash, a Tracy resident and volunteer for the Peace Corps serving in Mexico, recently won the corps’ first Blog it Home contest.

Lavash is traveling from Mexico to Washington, D.C., to teach others in the Peace Corps about using technology to shed light on their cultural experiences.

She and five other winners will speak at the Third Goal Mobilization Summit on Friday, Aug. 23, and Mount Pleasant Library on Saturday, Aug. 24.
