A group of Tracy boys took the soccer championship spotlight after their team, the West Coast Soccer under-13 Warriors, won the Nor Cal Premiere State Cup tournament at the Mary Grogan Complex in Modesto on Sunday.

The Warriors, including Tracy players Estevan Murillo, Julio Fuentes Jr., Christopher Barron, Miguel Angel, Cameron McWilliams, Nathan Negrette and Carlos Terriques, beat Mill Valley Fusion 3-2 in the championship match.

Mill Valley’s players, with the wind at their back in the first half, took a 2-0 lead. The Warriors came back in the second half with Murillo passing to Feuntes, who headed the ball in for a goal in the 50th minute. Murillo tied the game up on a free kick in the 60th minute and the teams were tied 2-2 at the end of regulation. Murillo scored the winning goal in overtime on a pass from Barron.
