A nighttime shot of a North Carolina lighthouse was selected as the Tracy Camera Club’s July photo of the month.

Pat Ching took the image, “Cape Hatteras Light by Moonlight,” during an April visit to the Outer Banks, barrier islands off the Atlantic coast of North Carolina.

“We had a waning crescent moon, which provided a bit of light for the exposure and clear sky filled with stars,” Ching said.

She used a Nikon D300 with a 19 mm lens, 33-second exposure and f-2.8 aperture.
