Last week’s Remember When “mystery photo,” bottom left, showed Tracy High teacher Marvin Rothschild helping a student in a special summer school class in 1979.
Students in the employment workshop taught by Rothschild were taking part in the Summer Youth Employment Program. Some 250 young people held jobs at a variety of local agencies while attending classes.
Now retired, Rothschild is an advocate for the homeless in Tracy.
Gary Tomlinson, Terry Brown, Betty Brazil, Charmaine Aranda and several other readers identified Rothschild in the photo.
