Last week’s Remember When mystery photo showed the Christmas window at the home of Mr. and Mrs. Ed Pfeifle, 1225 Adam St., in December 1976.

The window, depicting an old-fashioned Christmas scene with dolls, won first place in the Decorated Window category of the Tracy Christmas Lighting Contest.

There were 34 entries that year in five categories of the contest, which was sponsored by the Tracy Rotary Club in cooperation with the Tracy Chamber of Commerce and Tracy Press.

This week’s Remember When mystery photo shows a Tracy ventriloquist and his dummy in 1974. Who was he — the ventriloquist, that is — and what was the dummy’s name?
